The initials STFS go back to the time when the aircraft flew as LN-TFE with the Statens Trafikkflygerskole (National Commercial Pilot School) in Norway. This British registration was cancelled on 21st December 2006 when the aircraft was sold to New Zealand as ZK-TZX, but it was restored as G-CBHE on 4th January 2019, only to be again cancelled when it was sold to Latvia where it became YL-GAS.
