This 1961 model 172B was imported into Canada new by a Quebec based construction company. In 1968 Seneca College introduced their Aircraft Pilot Training program (later known as Aviation & Flight Technology) the same time it was finishing a new main campus. CF-MKU was one of three school owned aircraft in the initial course that included Piper Arrow CF-AJZ and Cessna 310 CF-SHL All were replaced in 1973 by new build Cessnas. Privately owned with registration C-FMKU, the aircraft is current on the Canadian registry at the time of uploading.
