The Albatross is another type for which Warner Robins ALC was responsible for program management and logistics support for all those in the USAF inventory. This one was delivered to the USAF in 1954 and assigned to the 41st ARS at Hamilton AFB, CA. In 1964 it was transferred to the 33rd ARS at Naha AB, Okinawa, Japan making numerous deployments to Vietnam and performing rescue operations from various bases in the area. In 1967 it returned to the US, being retired from the 301st ARRTS at Homestead AFB, FL in June 1971.
