This Harbin product was delivered to the Sri Lanka Air Force as CR852 in November 1986. It was assigned to 8 Light Transport Squadron "Constrant Service". The aircraft was several times grounded due to lack of spare parts. The Y-12 was reserialled to SCL-3201 in 2010 and again to SCL-852 by March 2012.
