First flew from Bitteswell on 2nd April 1962. Spent much of its life with 105 Sqn in the Middle and Near East, returning to operate with 114/267 Sqns at Benson in 1968. Seen at Benson before briefly returning to the Near East theatre again in July 1970 with 70 Sqn operating from Akrotiri. In 1974 it was re-designated as an Argosy T.1 and painted in the red and white training scheme in preparation for the cancelled Argosy T.2 trainer project. Allocated 8442M and made its last flight from Finningley to 2 SoTT at Cosford on 22 May 1975. Transferred to the RAF museum collection in April 1988.
