Acquired in 1939 in damaged form by J F Ford, it was stored in Stoke-on-Trent until acquired by Mike Russell in July 1977 to form the basis of TWO restorations. The wings and tail surfaces to become a DH53 Humming Bird which was registered "G-EBQP" - although that aircraft had been destroyed before the Martin was built from the airframe of the Clarke Cheetah - and the Martin Monoplane itself. The Martin project is believed to be "resting" in Bedfordshire. This photo was added on 16 April 2025, and has since been viewed 120 times. |
