This original 1956 Cessna 172 (not even an A!) was originally N6027A. It was exported to Australia, becoming VH-RNZ with the Royal Newcastle Aero Club on 6 January 1961. Unfortunately it crashed exactly a month later(!), on 6 February, at Newcastle NSW. After a rebuild, the aircraft returned to the Register on 3 July 1963 as VH-SNU.
