This is actually Tri-Motor N7861, delivered to the Union Electric Light and Power Company of Saint Louis as a corporate transport in 1928. In 1941 it passed to Johnson Flying Service, Missoula, MT for use as a sprayer then in the early 1960s as a smokejumper platform in forest fire control operations. Entered the museum in 1973 and restored to represent a USN RR-5 Tri-Motor This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
