On the tarmac outside British Aerospace Scottish Division's factory on Prestwick's north side. Carries the titles "Multi Role 748" and "International Sea Search '81 Competition - Winner". Built in 1976. Used as a company demonstrator. Leased to Bahamasair in 1978 as C6-BEA and then to Air Madagascar in 1979 as 5R-MJS. After returning in 1980, converted by British Aerospace to the 748 Multi-Role (748MAR) demonstrator. Taken on charge by the Sri Lankan Air Force in 1986 as CR832 This photo is copyright © David A.
