A nice photo showing blind flying hood in operation. Ex NM123, taken on charge by the RAF in January 1944, but possibly surplus and not used. To RLS in 1946. Following four early crashes involving RLS Tigers, the Dutch CAA demanded fitment of the so-called 'bed board' tailfin. This seems to have taken place circa 1948. PH-UAI to other owners from 1960, to N8223 in 1970. Reg stricken as destroyed by fire at Plum Island Airport, Massachusetts on 17 October 1977. Photo from: Nationaal Archief (Netherlands).
