Built at Woodford as an MR.1, this Nimrod flew with 203 Sqdn then 42 Sqdn, being converted to MR.2. After service in the Kinloss & St Mawgan pool, to BAe back at Woodford for conversion as part of the ill-fated MRA.4 project, being assigned. the new c/n PA-9 and serial ZJ522. When the project was cancelled unceremoniously in 2010, it was abandoned and scrapped next year.
