First flight 18 Jul 1955 and last flight on 07 Dec 1959. The P.1A was the forerunner of the English Electric Lightning. Transferred to the RAF Museum store at Henlow as 7816M on 30 Jul 1963 and later displayed there on the gate. To the museum of science and Industry on 17 Aug 1982.
