Dunstable Downs is a very popular gliding airfield. It is overlooked by a steep hill where hang gliders shared the updraughts and thermals with the gliders from the airfield below. The hill is also a good place to photograph the gliders as evidenced by those from Tom Cole which look like air to air shots.
