In 2024, this is a true scoop for AirHistory.net, the first Hawk 165 for the Saudi Hawks aerobatics team. The new type also received a new livery. The Saudi display team will transition from the old Hawk 65s to the 165 in 2024 and most probably will perform with the nine Hawks in the 2025 season. "Serial" 8801 was in use before, actually, this is not a serial but just a code. In the Saudi military serial system, the first digits are the squadron, and 01 is the first aircraft of the squadron. 8801 was used before by a Hawk 65.
