Unknown photographer. On back of photo '153136 LTV Corsair A-7A VA-122 USN Pt Mugu NAS'. No date. Joe Baugher and Forgotten Jets both incorrectly have this aircraft as NJ-211 with VA-125. To VA-122 as NJ-211 in 1968. To VA-86 as NL-400 in 1969/70. Crashed into sea after launch from USS Coral Sea - CVA-43 in the Gulf of Tonkin on 03 March 1970. The pilot ejected but was killed. This photo was added on 1 February 2024, and has since been viewed 135 times. |
