About to land on Runway 31 at Prestwick. Carries the message "bye bye skyeurope'', expressing confidence that, as it expands its route network into Sky Europe territory, travellers will prefer to fly with Ryanair. Established in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2001, Sky Europe provided low-cost services in Central Europe. Financial difficulties set in from late 2008 and on 1 September 2009 all flights were suspended and the airline entered bankruptcy. This aircraft was delivered new to Ryanair in February 2006 and carried the "bye bye skyeurope" titles from November 2006 until December 2012. This photo is copyright © David A.
