Delivered to USAAF in 1945 as 44-9146. Transferred to USN and designated R5D-4R. Converted to a EC-54U and delivered to US Coast Guard as 49147 in 1958. To N316A in 1967, Bergen Air Transport in 1967 and to Nordic Air from 15 December 1970 to 4 April 1973. Sold to Zaire Aéro Service (ZAS) as 9Q-CPB in 1977 and withdrawn and scrapped in Kinshasa, Zaire 1981. Note the legend "The Flying Gourmet" on the tail.
