World War II 42-85794 was among a batch of ten Texans provided to the Peruvian government in November 1944. Appearing on the US register circa 1989 as N70543., it was re-registered N991GM in 1990. The aircraft made extensive appearances in the National Championship Air Races in the T-6 class up to 2006. Part of the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team until owner Gene McNeely retired from the team in 2017. The T-6 re-appeared in 2019 doing limited solo performances in new all white colors.
