The S.91 was a lightweight fighter design. First flown in December 1931, the S.91/7 was a new prototype with an inverted sesquiplane configuration. The aircraft achieved a record average speed of 309 km/u (192 mph) over a 500-km closed circuit on 2 June 1932. It seems the photo was taken at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, near Paris, that same week - Gerhard Fieseler, the posing pilot, performed at an airshow there on Sunday 5 June with his Fieseler F2 Tiger. This photo was added on 8 November 2023, and has since been viewed 684 times. |
