The terminal building at Kalbarri. The airport opened in 2001 but has not seen any scheduled air services since Skippers withdrew from the route in 2012 after only one year. Skywest had previously operated a four times weekly Fokker 50 service from 2001 to 2011. A steep decline is passengers numbers were to blame.
