This CL.II served as the personal mount of the Commanding General of the German Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) during WWI, General Gerth von Hoeppner. It then became part of the post-WWI German Aviation Collection only to be subsequently discovered in Poland post-1945. It was transferred to Krakow in 1963 to undergo extensive restoration and is now part of the superb WWI collection of the Polish Aviation Museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
