NC13711 was the first DC-2. It is not the DC-2 presently registered N13711 which is c/n 1368. The DC-2 in the photo was acquired by the British Purchasing Commission in 1941 and delivered to the RAF as DG477 for service in Iraq and later India. Scrapped in 1947.
