26+74 was one of the two F-104Gs used by the Marineflieger display team "The Vikings". This Starfighter was built by Messerschmitt and served the Marineflieger from up to 1986 when it was transferred to LVR1, the F-104 Kommando at Erding that retired the German F-104s. 26+74 was sold to Greece as 7420 and transferred to the southern Europe country on 2 March 1988 and based at Araxos. It was dumped after its career ended in 1995. A year later it was scrapped. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
