Withdrawn from use in 1983. Fuselage reported to be at the Smash Palace Bar in Gisborne. ZK-BKD came to New Zealand in 1953 from Australian National Airways which had operated it as VH-ANU. Like other DC-3/C-47s in the ANA fleet it had been fitted with Wright R-1820 engines. The New Zealanders converted it back to Pratt and Whitney R-1830 engines. Bob Kerr photo.
