This commanders aircraft of the 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron "The Ironmen" touched down first at Soesterberg, leading a formation of ten 'FF" coded Eagles that crossed the pond from homebase Langley AFB (VA). The Eagle was delivered to the USAF on 18 February 1982 and made a long career with Langley (October 1982-1985), Keflavik ('IS" coded 1985-July 1993), Tyndall ('TY', 1993-2007) and (no code) Oregon Air National Guard (2007-April 2010). The Eagle arrived at 309th AMARG on 30 April 2010 and received inventory code AAFH0249. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
