This beautiful old transport is actually 52-1066. She was retired from service to MASDC as CQ362 in September 1974 and had been quickly declared as surplus by November. Fortunately she was saved from the scrapman and is now on display at the incomparable National Museum of the USAF. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
