With only 315 built, for Cessna the 303 was a low production run though this is one of 13 currently on the UK register. The marking on the fin is for Merlins over Malta, a project to take a flying Spitfire and Hurricane back from the UK to fly over Malta, the island that they defended in 1942/43. This Crusader was the support aircraft for the flight. This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
