VH-DMA was overloaded with sheets of glass and tins of paint when it managed to get airborne from a private airstrip 4 miles south of Katherine after the third attempt . It staggered along for 8 miles before coming down in a paddock and flipping on its back. The three occupants survived but DMA was written off.
