First flown on 29 May 1994 and delivered to the Luftwaffe in July 1984. Following its operational career, the IDS was withdrawn from use at Jever by April 2006. The aircrfat was paertly dismanteled and scrapped. Its fuselage can be found at the gate of the Heinrich Herz Kaserne, Birkenfeld (Germany).
