Flying low and much faster than anticipated in the fading light over Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh for IAF's 90th Air Force Day, the "Prachand" (Hindi: Fierce) arrows past as part of the Dhanush formation. The LCH has been designed and manufactured in India in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision of self-reliant India. It is equipped with an Elbit CoMPASS electro-optical pod, chin-mounted Nexter M621 20mm gun and 12-tube 70mm FZ231 rocket pods. Inducted in the IAF on 03 Oct 22, this LCH equips No. 143HU. It has a service ceiling of 6500m. This photo is copyright © Arjun Sarup, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
