The Kaman K-240 training helicopter was built in small numbers for the US Navy as the HTK-1. 128657 had its Lycoming piston engine replaced by two YT50 turboshafts, making it the HTK-2. It first flew as such in March 1954 and was the world's first twin-turbine helicopter.
