The identity of this aircraft cannot be confirmed. What is known is the Malaysian Civil Aviation Department took delivery of Beech 100 MSN B-27 in 1972. It was initially registered 9M-CAA, which was changed to 9M-JPA the following year. In 1983, 9M-JPA was reallocated to a new Beech 200T Super King Air and in June 1984 Beech 100 MSN B-27 was registered in the US N5377C as an import from Malaysia. A simple change of 9M-JPA to OPA seems a logical step ahead of the aircraft being flown first to Australia and then on the US for resale.
