The identity of this aircraft has been confirmed. The Malaysian Civil Aviation Department took delivery of it in 1972. It was initially registered 9M-CAA, which was changed to 9M-JPA the following year. In 1983, it was reregistered as 9M-OPA as 9M-JPA was reallocated to a new Beech 200T Super King Air. In June 1984 it was registered in the US N5377C as an import from Malaysia. It was flown first to Australia and then on the US for resale.
