The Mi-24DU is the training variant for the Mi-24D, the most obvious visual difference being the absence of the rotating remote-controlled turret built into the lower half of the fuselage. A total of 28 Mi-24 D helicopters and two Mi-24 DUs were delivered to Czechoslovakia. This example was manufactured in 1985 and delivered toVÚ 5621 Plzeň-Líně, later also serving at Prostějov and Přerov and finally from 2008 at VÚ 5525 Náměšť nad Oslavou. It's last flight was in February 2010 and a year later transported by road to LKKB. It is now on display within the museum proper.
