With the BN's wings at 72° sweep, this is one of the nicer sights near the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The BN export variant of which 624 were built as izdeliye 32-24B or 24B was downgraded in avionics, thus less capable than domestic Soviet versions. The Flogger-H was inducted in No. 10 Sqn "Winged Daggers," flown from Jan 1981 to Dec 1993. Other IAF units to fly the type were No. 220 Sqn "Desert Tigers," 31 Sqn "Lions" and 221 Sqn "Valiants," this unit phasing out their BNs in March 2009. The BN was used in Op Safed Sagar during the Kargil War to strike Pakistani positions on mountain tops.
