Built as C-121A 48-0611 and converted to a VC-121A in 1950. Retired to MASDC at Davis Monthan in April 1968 and sold by auction in June 1971, the aircraft went to Aircraft Specialities at Mesa AZ as N611AS for conversion to an agricultural sprayer. Withdrawn and stored in 1976 it was sold in 1981, via Globe Air, to ARGO SA of the Dominican Republic. When ARGO folded in 1983 it was stored at Santo Domingo and despite efforts to restore the aircraft in 1987, it never flew again and remains in the graveyard at the airport some 25 years later.
