First flew as G-AZFU in 1972 before delivery to CAAC as 242 in 1973. Reregistered as B-242 in 1974 then to Air China as B-2202 in 1988. Withdrawn from use at Tianjin by 1991. Preserved at the 21st Century Hotel, Beijing by 1996. Moved to Datangshan by 2004. Still in the storage area on the satellinte image in 2022. Rear fuselage separated from the main fuselage section.
