It's first registration was at the 28th of May 1959 for the owner Luftsport-Club "Bayer" Leverkusen e.V. The club owned the plane until july 1968, when it was sold to Werner Wirths from Köln-Lindenthal. He owned the plane for nearly four years and sold it to Flugsportclub Heide-Büsum e.V. in May 1972. When the plane arrived in Büsum it was painted in blue and white with an advertisement on the fuselage (Heinrich Heizung). On June 19th 1973 the plane had an accident in Büsum and the registration was cancelled September 06th 1973. It was sold as a project to GB, repaired and registered as G-BCHX on November 19th 1982.
