'An Air America C-123 delivering supplies and picking up Laotian troops at Long Tieng.' This was a 'secret city of 40,000' built by the Americans. Still without jet pods here, this Provider was converted to C-123K standard in the spring of 1969 and returned to USAF service as 54-671. To Laotian air force in 1972, and to Thai air force in 1975. According to Joe Baugher, 'now at Titusville.' A C-123 wreck marked 671 was used for a crash scene in the movie Air America in 1990.
