The first production Bell 429 on display at the Bell Helicopter booth for HAI Heli-Expo 2008 held inside the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, Texas. This aircraft was first registered to Bell Helicopter Textron Canada (BHTC) on Dec. 10, 2007. This 429 is equipped with the original "sled" style landing gear which was changed after Eurocopter sued Bell for patent infringement of its landing gear design first introduced on the EC 120B. This aircraft has been retained by BHTC and was later used to develop and certify the Model 429WLG with tricycle landing gear. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
