NZ995 is the only Harvard listed as transferred to Air Training Corps. It was declared unairworthy in 1943. NZ995 is believed to have formed this part of the Mobile Instructional Unit. The instructional unit was a recruiting tool and consisted of three trucks carrying displays. ATC cadets could operate the Harvard's undercarriage (electrically, not hydraulically) and flaps. The cockpits contained a full set of controls and instruments. The engine could not be started.
