One of the many highlights at the 2015 Royal International Air Tattoo was the appearance by a pair of Kawasaki P-1 maritime reconnaissance aircraft of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force. This example performed a short flying display routine whilst the second example could be found on static display. This was the first ever public appearance of an aircraft from the JMSDF in the UK.
