A total of 213 Eagles were delivered to the JASDF since 1980, making it the 2nd biggest operator outside the US. The JASDF fleet consits of 165 F-15J single and 48 F-15DJ dual seat Eagles. Of those, 155 F-15J and 36 F-15DJ respectively were licence built by Mitsubishi, and 22-8811 pictured here is the first fully built in Japan in 1982.
