Long Island Airlines started flying in the summer of 1946 between East Hampton (KHTO) and the Midtown Skyport at East 23rd St - note Chrysler Building and Queensboro Bridge. The Widgeon ended up in the Thai navy and is preserved in the RTAF Museum in Bangkok.
