This aircraft is the only one of its kind in Australia. Only two were ever imported, the other (VH-WWL) having been burnt in 1966. VH-WWE was registered new in Australia on 5 November 1962. The Rangemaster was a 5-seat development of the earlier North American, later Ryan, Navion produced immediately after the Second World War. The tip-tanks are a prominent recognition feature.
