This A-6 underwent conversion from an A-6A to an A-6E in the 1976-1977 time frame at Naval Air Rework Facility Alameda. When the slide was taken the a/c was on the flightline after conversion and in the post conversion test flight phase. After that is complete the a/c will be painted.
