This Nord 1002 has been painted to represent a German Messerschmidt Bf108 owned by the German fighter pilot Franz Stigler and named after his wife Grit. Stigler became famous for escorting a heavily damaged B-17, which was flying on just one engine, back to England rather than shooting it down with his Me109.
