Fokker Universal operated as executive transport by the Stoody Co from Whittier, California, which was in the welding industry. Bought by them for $22,000 this Universal Special had a non-standard 410-hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp engine, a reinforced and lengthened fuselage and an enclosed cockpit.
