The Netherlands navy and the Netherlands East Indies air force received two Pander Ds each, although these small single-seaters were of little military value. These military Panders were fitted with a protective structure behind the pilot's seat. The navy's Fokker D.VII fighters similarly received protective headrests, but D-26 and D-27 do not yet have them here.
