The view south across historic Point Cook aerodrome towards the former First World War-vintage seaplane station. In the foreground two of the Roulettes' PC-9s share the apron with Vampire T.11 VH-ZVZ. Point Cook is Australia's oldest operating aerodrome. Situated 25 kilometres south east of Melbourne on Port Phillip Bay, land was first purchased for use as a military aerodrome in early 1913 and the Central Flying School opened here shortly afterwards. Today Point Cook is home to the RAAF Museum, among other units.
