Initially delivered to USAAF in 1945 as 44-34535. Delivered to Portuguese Air Force in 1965 as 7101. Modified and refurbished for counter insurgency operations in Portugal's African colonies; Seen here marked as FAR 933and repainted as 937 on nose following Hurricane Michelle in Nov 2001. It is thought that Cuban forces in Angola might have brought this plane back to Cuba. However a doubt exist concerning the real history of this A-26...It might be sold separatly to Cuba for use as a parts source only in the late 50s until it was repaired and put in service under Cuban AF.....?!
